New Level in lifestyle
THE Pellicano Group's $43 million Eastwood development at Woolloongabba is taking urban apartment design in Brisbane to a new level. Its edgy architecture would be at home in Sydney or Melbourne's trendiest precincts, according to Willis Greenhalgh Architects Adam Formosa. Designed by Brisbane-based Willis Greenhalgh Architects, Eastwood's external facade matches finely detailed bold rectangles of expressed black steel frame, with glass, white and splashes of green.
Mr Formosa said the design of the eight-level building gave Eastwood a modern edge, which stood out on the Brisbane skyline. "Eastwood has a real dynamic metropolitan design, which will be complemented with extensive sub-tropical landscaping to retain that unique Brisbane feel," he said. "Its crowning jewel will be an outdoor cinema deck on the top level, providing panoramic city views and a place for residents to relax and unwind." Mr Formosa said Eastwood had a mix of 87 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments priced from $295,000.
The development is the first residential project to be released in Woolloongabba under its new Woolloongabba Centre Neighbourhood Plan.
